Hi Kana
It's nice to hear from you. Sorry for replying back late. I had forgotten my password; I had to sign up again.
Anyway, That little book is my artwork. It is about languages, stories, and cultures.
I should mention that I am Iranian. I came to Australia about 3 years ago. Last year, I started to make artist books. What I write on them are stories that I have heard or read since my childhood; some are Iranian stories, some stories from the western culture. Whether I write the stories in English or Persian (my mother tongue), I write them back to front, so they are not easily read. I want my artwork comunicate visually, not on lingual basis.
You get that right. That book is related to the colors. The story is about an ancient Persian king. He made a palace with 7 chambers. These chambers were decorated with different colors:Black, Yellow, Green, Red, Turquoise,Sienna, and White.
The king married 7 girls from 7 counties and accommodated them in these chambers. Then, on every day of the week, he went to one chamber and the lady of the cahmber told him stories. Through those stories he learned more and became a better person.
I tried to summerise the story. The original one is from a long anthology.
I hope that I gave you enough hints. See you soon in Brisbane.
